“The Pipe of the “Yehudi HaKadosh” of Peshischa (Przysucha)
This tobacco pipe was a family heirloom which was inherited by the descendants of the “Yehudi HaKadosh” until our times as follows: The pipe was inherited by the son of the “Yehudi HaKadosh”, R. Nechemya of Bykhaw, then by his nephew R. Avraham of Parysów who gave it as a dowry to his granddaughter and her husband R. Bezalel HaLevi son of R. Yedidya Ferens of Będzin. R. Bezalel HaLevi bequeathed the pipe to his son R. Asher Ferens of Haifa, the father of the present owners.
The progression of this heirloom is well known in the Ferens family and enclosed is a signed testimony of the owner who is a family member. This progression is also documented in the book Zechuta D’Avraham, Jerusalem 1951.
