January 25, 1494: Alfonso II Becomes King of Naples
His Advisor – Don Isaac Abrabanel.
King Alfonso II of Naples continued to rely on the services of Don Isaac Abrabanel the refugee from the
Spanish expulsion who had acted as an advisor to his predecessor
on the throne, King Ferdinand. Alfonso also continued the policy of his predecessor of
allowing Jews fleeing the Inquisition to settle in his kingdom.
