most famously known for his many
sefarim, which are held in high regard.
“Kav Noki,” is a detailed and
intricate sefer on Hilchos Gittin, which
Rabbonim still refers to today.
Reb Avraham Dovid Lavut was
the Rebbe’s maternal great-great-grandfather. He was a Chossid of
the Tzemach Tzedek. When he
was approximately 35 years of age,
he was appointed Rav of Nikolayev,
a position he held for over 40 years,
