מאת הרב ד״ר אלימלך שכטר
The Babylonian and Jerusalem Mishnah Textually Compared
The book serves as a meticulous comparative study analyzing the textual variants (nuschaos) of the Mishnah text as it is preserved and quoted across the two pillars of classical Jewish study:
Rabbi Melech Schachter (1913 – 2007) was a prominent Orthodox rabbi, author, halakhic expert, and a central faculty member at Yeshiva University for nearly 50 years. He was highly regarded for his expertise in Jewish law (halakha)—notably serving as a veteran coordinator of Jewish divorce (gittin)—and as the father of the renowned contemporary posek (halakhic authority) Rabbi Hershel Schachter. published in Jerusalem by Mossad Harav Kook.
